Free standing cranes are designed for locations where the roof cannot carry the crane, or where there is a need to allow for future changes in lay-out.

Free standing cranes are usually supplied in standard sizes, but if the application requires it, specific cranes can be designed to your needs.

Bespoke applications include wide spans and long downshops/lengths.

The versatility of the system means that if you have pillars or other obstacles the crane system can be designed to take account of these.

Morris will supply all the details of weights and loadings so that a customer can ensure that their floor is capable of taking the crane.

Raised Bridges

When headroom is at a premium a combination of an S3 Light Crane with a raised bridge and an S3 hoist maximises the available height of lift.

• Can be fitted on free standing and ceiling mounted systems.
• Available in both single and double girder configurations.
• A 125kg crane (excluding hoist) can fit into a roofspace of only 235mm deep.
